POSTCARDS FROM MYKONOS

Hi, I’m Nina, I’m German, grew up in Spain and live in London now. I’m a female entrepreneur in high-end fashion and beauty and also work on Next-Gen art concepts and auctions.

You recently vacationed in Mykonos, Greece. What was the highlight of your trip?

 I’ve been going to Mykonos for 10 years and I can say from the bottom of my heart it’s my favourite Island in the world. I just love the chilled vibe and also the style I can wear there. It’s never too hot as it’s a windy island. 

 Favourite place to stay?

I’m not a big fan of the Myconian hotels. I much rather prefer to rent a villa with my friends. Most of the time this is actually cheaper than staying at a hotel. My favourite villa resort are the Leno Villas. They have a beautiful interior and they have all kinds of villa sizes.

How do you pack for a European summer getaway?

A lot of accessories! I love to layer, even in summer, and for that I always bring many cover-ups, shawls, beach bags, hats, and of course swimsuits.

For me Mykonos is all about the beaches and the good food. Most of the time I gain some pounds on the island, as I have to go to all of my favourite restaurants and eat my favourite foods.

Where to eat?

A must is definitely Interni. It’s an institution and was one of the first fine dining restaurants on the island.

Best place for a sunset drink?

I definitely recommend Scorpios Mykonos. They have a big and beautiful sunset terrace which turns into a little party on Wednesday's and Sunday's.

What do you consider when purchasing a bikini for the summer, how do you find the perfect fit?

My number one tip is to work with your body, not against it. Find a fit that highlights your favourite features, that makes you feel good and confident about yourself! It’s not always about “what’s in trend”.
